Thelma Louise Fields
Thelma Louise FieldsThelma Louise Fields, age 73 of Richwood, died peacefully Saturday morning, February 20, 2010 at home.  She was born December 11, 1936 in Richwood to the late Vernon and Goldie (Stiffler) Wood.

On July 12, 1952 she married E. Glenn Fields in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prospect and he survives in Richwood.  She is also survived by a son, Mitchell Fields, Richwood; two daughters, Pamala (Joseph) Alli, Michigan; Kimberly (Thomas) James, Whitehall; grandchildren, Cassi Fields, Richwood; Jennifer Lazzell, Columbus; Laura (Micah) Brandt, Kentucky; Renee Alli, Illinois; Marilyn Alli, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Jenna Lazzell and Joey Alli; brothers, Lester “Bill” (Beth) Wood, Prospect; Charles Wood, Florida; a sister, Ruth Eileen Gray, Richwood; and a sister-in-law, Dee Wood, Mt. Gilead.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wood and sisters, Margaret Ann Haney and Mary Lou Ferguson.

Thelma enjoyed visiting Mackinaw City and going to casinos.  She loved family gatherings and having her family around her.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 1 to 3 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.  A graveside service will immediately follow at Claibourne Cemetery with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating.

Mickey Fields, is that you? This is Wayne Evans. I haven't seen you since high school. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure it's not easy having lost my own father a few years ago. I would love to have contact with you again after all these years. May the Lord bless you through this time of loss and adjustment.

Thelma was a wonderful women.  She has such a big heart and always made me feel welcome and loved.  She's been the best grandmother to my Cassi I could have ever hoped for and I'll be eternally greatful for her love and support over the past 16 years.  You will be greatly missed Thelma.  Love, Paula

I was sorry to read of the passing of your Mother.  Please accept my sympathy on her passing.  I think of you and your Mom each time I make her wonderful Vanilla Drop Cookies - she shared that recipe after a gathering at your home in junior high, I think.
