Harry Gilbert McIntyre

Harry Gilbert McIntyre, age 83 of Marysville, formerly of Richwood died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at the Gables at Green Pastures. He was born April 7, 1926 in Orrville to the late Charles G. and Harriet (Welch) McIntyre.

He was a mechanical engineer having worked at North American Rockwell in Columbus and Webb Plastics in Richwood. He had formerly managed Buckeye Lake Sportsman’s Club in Thornville and Dillon Shooting Range in Nashport. He was a member of the Glider Association, the NRA and enjoyed doing field trials with his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie to whom he was married from 1981-83 and a sister, Betty James.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa McIntyre, Newark; four grandchildren, Laura, Lindsey, Cody and Kelcey Fallon; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Landon; a step-daughter, Marcella (Clarence “Mac”) Mackey; three step-grandchildren, Meredyth Mackey; Lorain (Matthew) Smith; Helen (Jeremy) Bonnough; six step-great-grandchildren and a niece, Marcy Elliott.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 4:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service.

Memorial gifts may be made to REAP, 235 Grove Street, Richwood, OH 43344, and or any Domestic Violence Shelter.

Dear Lisa & Marcie:

Please accept our sincere sympathy. Gib was a special man and we have fond memories of his friendship. He was a familiar face at the Gazette office and a frequent visitor at our home in Richwood. We share your loss.

So sorry to hear of Mac's passing. I haven't seen him for a number of years but always think of him fondly as a great neighbor and a good friend to our family.
