Lydia Hylon Bell
Lydia Hylon BellEasternStarLydia Hylon Bell, age 86 of Richwood, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Heartland of Marion.  She was born July 26, 1923 in Marion County to the late John Herbert and Hylon Lydia (Clime) Woleslagel.

On March 25, 1944 she married John Russell Bell and he survives in Richwood.

She was a member of the Claibourne United Methodist Church.  She was Past Worthy Matron at the former Mt. Carmel Chapter 42 OES in Richwood as well as Eastern Star District President; Grand Representative to Ontario in 1988-1989; Senior Circle (CCL); Membership chairman for the Republican Federation for Women; member of Claibourne Grange; former State Grange Deputy and Home Ec. Chairman.

Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, John Ed (Linda) Bell, Richwood; Bonnie Bell, Richwood; Caroline (Bill) Lucas, Prospect; Joe Bell, Richwood; Mary (Rich Cappell) Snider, Marysville; 7 grandchildren, John Willis Jr. (Kathy Strouthers), Miranda Swartz (Jason), Dannette Lucas, Andrea Zeno (Christopher), Dawn Lucas-Carlson (Coury), Jameison Snider (Holly), Kathryn Snider; and 3 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Laney, Heather Swartz, Joel Zeno.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Truce Clime Woleslagel and an infant son, Charles Richard.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.  An Eastern Star service and memorial service will be held following visitation with Pastor Dan Kiger officiating.

Memorial gifts may be made to the 32nd degree Masonic Learning Center, 290 Cramer Creek Court, Dublin, OH  43017.

She was a great Eastern Star Member and encourage the new members.  Mary Chapter as well as District 11 will miss her. I was fortunate to join Eastern Star and to get to know Lydia.
