I was saddened to learn of Sherwood's death. He was a good childhood friend of mine back in the early 1940's when we lived only a block from each other in Prospect. As "pigeon raising buddies", we would go together sometimes after dark to climb up in farmer's barns to capture wild squabs for additions to our coops. On Saturday nights, we would get together to listen to Frank Sinatra and theHit Patade on the radio.  I recall Sherwood as being very pleasant in disposition,even- tempered, and without a mean bone in his body. Good friends don't come any better than Irvin Sherwood Dennis. I send my condolences to his family.  Goodbye, Sherwood.  Check out the barns up there, and perhaps we can hunt some squabs together again someday.
