Rosie Marie (Hill) Goldberg
Rosie Marie (Hill) GoldbergRosie Marie (Hill) Goldberg, age 70 of Richwood died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Heartland of Marysville.  She was born October 28, 1938 in Rockhold, Kentucky to the late Harvey E. and Mary A. (Rapier) Hill.

On January 16, 1965 she married Charles F. Goldberg.  He preceded her in death on November 28, 2003.

Rosie was baptized at the age of 12 in the Cumberland River by Bro. Alvin Holt of the Church of Christ.  She never regretted giving her life to God and never lost Faith.  She often said, “Look at all the pretties that God has made for us to enjoy.”  She loved feeding and watching birds, whether they were her parakeets or birds outside.  She was a horse groomer for many years, assisting her husband with training.  She loved kids and packed shoeboxes for needy children through Samaritan’s Purse.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Claibourne Cemetery with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating.  Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial gifts may be made to Samaritan’s Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org) or REAP, 235 Grove Street, Richwood, OH  43344.

I am the husband of Aileen Curee (Hill), daughter of the late Ledford Hill, brother to Rosie.  We have visited Rosie several times over the last few years and she always made me go out and feed the birds for her.  My wife and I are both disappointed not to have been able to attend the funeral services today but we were not aware that Rosie had passed away until just a few hours ago.  To any that may read this, her faith was in the Lord Jesus Christ and she is certainly in a better place than any of us who remain.  May God bless those that have cared for her over the years since Chuck passed away.
Sincerely,
Mike & Aileen
