I knew your whole family when I was a boy. My grandparents lived next to your family off of Blagrove Street. And Gary was friends with my dad, Darrell Evans (who died in 2007). I am sorry for your loss.

We met "Mom" when she began taking care of Joshua (and me) when he was about 4 months old. He treasured his Grammy Lucille. She and Sis saw us through several rough times, including Joshua's diagnosis of autism. When he heard she had passed, he said, "Now Grammy Lucille will live with me." And when I explained, yes, in heaven, he replied, "No Mom, she lives here in my heart now." His pure spirit sees clearly, doesn't it? Thanks for all the love and care, Mom. Sis, we'll see you soon.

Dixie you and your family have my deepest condolences, losing a parent is so hard, especially your Mom.  Keep in mind all the good times, her contagious smile, her joyful laughter and that twinkle in her eye.  I am so happy that I had the pleasure of knowing Lucille and getting to spend time with her, memories I will treasure.  I will never again watch a Western that I won't think of her.  I am sorry I cannot be there with you, but will be anxious to see you when you return home.  All my love - Mary Ann

Dixie and family,
We are truely sorry for your loss of Lucille on this earth.  She was an amazingly, wonderful woman. I loved being around her and taking her back and forth to visit Dixie when she was in the hospital.  Lucille was always so cheerful and concerned about others.  I never heard her complain about her own aches and pains.  The thing that was always so amazing to me is the positive attitude with which she accepted every new turn in her life including moving all over the country with Dixie and John Deere.  Lucille was a bright light that shined for others while she was on this earth.  Please accept out sincerest sympathies.
