| Robert C. Hickok, age 94 of Mt. Gilead, died early Wednesday morning, May 13, 2009 at the Olentangy Woods in Galion. He was born February 10, 1915 in Peoria, Ill. to the late George and Allie Mae (Cary) Hickok.
On June 20, 1952 he married the former Faye West and she died June 12, 2008. He was retired from Swan Rubber Co., Bucyrus. Robert and Faye also raised chickens and hogs on the farm. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Hickok, Florence, South Carolina; Starling (Robert) Foster, Marlette, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Allen; two brothers, William and Raymond; two sisters, Freda Liggett and Dorothy Penn. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Claibourne Cemetery with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating.
