Darryl W. Cox
Darryl W. CoxDarryl W. Cox, age 44 of Richwood, died unexpectedly Monday, April 27, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.  He was born January 22, 1965 in Marion to Bert and Helen (Jones) Cox.  He was preceded in death by his father; his mother, Helen (Leonard) Hoodlet survives in Richwood.

On June 30, 2006 he married the former Rhonda S. Hague, and she survives in Richwood.

He attended Christ the Rock Church in Radnor.  He loved motorcycles and cars.  A professional landscaper, he especially enjoyed yard work, spending a lot of time beautifying his own back yard.  Most of all he loved being a dad, grandpa and husband and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Jeremy (Lindsay) Cox, Richwood; Zachary Cox, Richwood; a daughter, Ashlee Cox (Raymond); a brother, Gary (Emma) Cox, Richwood; two sisters, Becky (Bill) Cress, New Bloomington; Rena (Tony) Yates, Richwood; two granddaughters, Olivia and Makayla Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Dale Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday.

Memorial gifts may be made to Christ the Rock Church, 800 Sheridan Road, Marion, OH  43302 or the family, in care of the funeral home.
