James Edward “Jim” Somerlot |
 James Edward "Jim" Somerlot, 52, of Wabash, Indiana died at 3:00am Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Wabash. He was born October 24, 1956 in Delaware, Ohio to Lowell L. and Wanda L. (Easterday) Somerlot.
Jim was a 1975 graduate of North Union High School, and attended several classes at Ivy Tech in Wabash, Indiana. He married Regina Haynes on July 10, 1982 at the Bible Missionary Church in Winchester, Indiana. He worked for IGA in Marion, Ford Meter Box in Wabash, and served as a pastor in Belpre, Jackson, and Glenmoor. He enjoyed reading, painting. baking, photogaphy, and model trains. Jim was a member of the Wabash Bible Holiness Church.
He is survived by four children, Daniel L. Somerlot, Philip L. Somerlot, and Emily M. Somerlot all of Wabash, and Jonathan W. Somerlot of Plymouth, Indiana; Former Wife, Regina Somerlot of Wabash; and Sister, Janet Somerlot of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services in Wabash will be held at Bible Holiness Church in Wabash on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Beaton officiating. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Local funeral services will be Friday, April 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Delaware Bible Holiness Church. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

I worked with Jim at the IGA in Marion for 4-5 years while I was in high school and college. Everyone liked working with him and he always had a friendly disposition. I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Jim at the Richwood IGA and, we were part of four tuba players in the North Union Marching Band. Jim was always a good person to work with and a good person to be around. I am truly sorry to hear about about this loss.
