David P. Hook
David P. HookDavid P. Hook, age 60 of Richwood, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family after a 3 1/2 year battle with cancer.
He was born July 20, 1948 in Marion to the late William W. and Kathryn A. (Speyer) Hook.

On July 29, 1984 he married the former Theresa A. Davis at Indian Lake and she survives in Richwood.

He was currently the president of Hercules Industries, Inc. in Prospect where he had worked for the past 32 years.  David loved traveling and cruising, especially with special friends Jim and Pat Veach of Richwood.  He also loved playing cards with his family, as well as golfing, hunting, four-wheeling and “hobby” farming.

He is survived by a son, Bradley D. Hook, Richwood; a daughter, Lisa M. (Matthew) Brenner, Sunbury; two brothers, Larry W. Hook, Richwood; John Kevin Hook, Richwood; three grandchildren, Jillian, Addison and Lauren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Hook.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Jerry McQueen officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Friday.

Dear Teresa, Brad and Lisa,  So very sorry for your loss..Dave fought the good fight to the end and was a good friend and co-worker at Hercules during Arlene's 19 years there.
