MY HEART IS SADDENED TO KNOW THAT YOUR MOTHER HAS PASSED AWAY. I MET HER 30 YEARS AGO WHEN SHE CAME TO THE SMITH CLINIC SEEKING A JOB. I INTERVIEWED HER AND WE CHOSE HER FOR THE JOB IN INTERNAL MEDICINE. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL ASSET TO OUR DEPARTMENT. I NEVER SAW OR HEARD MANDY BE ANYTHING BUT KIND AND GENTLE TO ANY PATIENT-EVEN THE MOST DIFFICULT AND DEMANDING ONES. SHE HAD A SOFT-SPOKEN WAY ABOUT HER THAT ALWAYS CALMED EVEN THE MOST ADVERSARIAL ONES. SHE ALWAYS DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE FOR "HER" PATIENTS. THE SMITH CLINIC HAS LOST A VERY VALUABLE ASSET; SOMEONE WHO REALLY CARED. I AM PROUD TO HAVE KNOWN HER AND MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AS YOU MOURN HER LOSS.

My parents, Howard and Anne Ruth, were long time patients of Dr. Ruiz.  Mandy was always so kind to them.  She took the time in a busy day to assist them and they became friends over the years.  My dad was saddened to hear of the passing of Mandy.  She was a wonderful, caring person who went out of her way to be nice to them.
Her family has our deepest sympathy.
