Carrol F. Reames
Carrol F. ReamesCrossCarrol F. Reames, age 78 of Richwood, died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Marion General Hospital.  He was born November 3, 1930 in the Richwood home in which he lived his entire life.  He was the son of Fred and Margaret (Huffman) Reames, and was predeceased by his parents and a sister Beatrice Davie.

He was retired after 35 years of service at the former Marion Power Shovel.  Carrol was an active member of the Richwood First Baptist Church where he served in many capacities.  He participated in many activities at the Richwood Fair and hardly ever missed a day.  He enjoyed gardening and talking to people and he never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his wife Maxine (Holycross) Reames, whom he married on June 30, 1950; a son, Daniel, Richwood; four daughters, Sandra (Jim) Borders, Marion; Brenda (Wes) Blanton, Caledonia; Carol (Chris) Loudermilk, Richwood; Regina (Steve) Allison, Richwood; three grandchildren, Ben and Heather Loudermilk, Richwood; and Kyle Tannyhill, Caledonia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor James Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday.

Still missing my dad after 6 years. Can\'t believe it\'s been that long. Thanksgiving has never been the same since. I wish he and my brother were still here with us. Love and Happy Thanksgiving to them both.
