Barbara J. Kersey

Barbara J. Kersey, age 80 of Marion died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Heartland of Marion.  She was born May 24, 1928 in Marion to the late Hiram J. and Ruby F. (Dodds) Stalter. On September 9, 1951 she married George E. Kersey and he died in 1998. She was a Registered Nurse at Marion Manor for 32 years and was a member of Rush Creek (Formerly Essex) United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed music of all kinds and loved to dance. She is survived by a son Geoffrey E. (Lois) Kersey, Marion; two granddaughters, Angela (Josh) Ford, Grove City and Autumn (Don) Gantzer, Wilmington; three great-grandchildren, Josh Ford, Emma Gantzer and Gabriel Gantzer.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald E. Stalter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Michele Holloway officiating.  Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
