Barbara Ann Swafford |
Barbara Ann Swafford, age 71, of Rural Marion, died Saturday November 1, 2008 at 3:55 PM at Marion General Hospital.
She was born September 14, 1937 in Akron, Ohio to the late Otis and Hattie (Whitacre) Bloomfield.
She is survived by one daughter; Paula Swafford of Marion. Six Grandchildren Amos Burk, Barbara Manu, Eric Gay, William Burk Jr., Deborah Alexander, and Lisa Cobb, and eight Great Grandchildren. One sister; Mary Woodruff of Greenville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos P. Swafford, one daughter Connie Swafford and grandson Kenneth Swafford.
Mrs. Swafford retired from J Lenco Co, was a former member of American Legion Post 162,the Moose Lodge, and the Eagles Lodge all of Marion.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday November 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Preston Cemetery in Alger, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. C. L. Fuqua. There will be no calling hours. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue is in charge of arrangements.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Marion County Humane Society.

Grandma,
You have always told me that I could do anything. You and mom have tought me how to be a strong women. I will always have you and mom to thank for that. I will remember all the good times we had together. I am going to really miss you. You was the best grandma in the world and you always will be in my book. I love you!
