Florence Louise Dettra
Florence Louise DettraFlorence Louise Dettra, age 79 of Richwood, died Wednesday evening, October 29, 2008 at Heartland of Marysville.  She was born August 11, 1929 in Sandoval, IL to the late Hollis and Mary (Harmon) Pulver.

On March 16, 1950 she married Daniel L. Dettra in Sandoval, IL and he died April 27, 2002.

She was a member of Essex (Rush Creek) United Methodist Church, Richwood Civic Center, Classy Red Hatters of Richwood, and a lifetime member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton for 22 years.  Florence and her husband owned and operated the former Dettra Market in Essex from 1960 to 1966.

She is survived by two sons, Danny (Kathy) Dettra, Richwood; Don (Amy) Dettra, Prospect; a daughter, Ellen (Kyle) Kunst, California; three sisters, Jackie Navolt, Centralia, IL; Betty (Paul) Martin, Eagle River, AK; Jean (Paul) Clay, Richwood; three brothers, Hollis (Rosemary) Pulver, Sandoval, IL; Edward (Carmenza) Pulver, Posey, IL; Larry (Aida) Pulver, St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Danielle Dettra; Charlene Dettra; Adam Kunst; Kane Kunst; Kara (Tom) Gioielli; Matthew and Margaret Dettra; step-granddaughter, Amanda (Robert) Bishop; two step-great-grandchildren, Sydney and Zayne Bishop; and special friend, Everett Uhls, Sandoval, IL.  She was preceded in death by a half-sister, Alice Fowler.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Rev. David Lippert officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday.

Memorial gifts may be made to Loving Care Hospice, 113 S. Main St. Marysville, Ohio 43040 or VFW Post 870 Ladies Aux.

Just now read the obituary from Stofcheck-Ballinger.  So sorry to read of the passing of Florence. We are sending our deep sympathy at this time of your sadness.
