We were thankful for our time as Eva's next door neighbor. For the 9 years that we knew her she felt like a special member of our family. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Dear Gene,  I visited with your parents often when we would be a Lowell's and also at church where we worshipped together.  Mom is also at Ashley Manor so we saw your mother when we were in Ohio.  You have my deepest sympathy.  It will be a sad way for some time to come.

Our condolences to the Smith Family. Mrs. Smith and my Mom were life long friends. I can still picture those Wed. night Prayer meetings at her house when I was youngster. She was Quick with a smile and always had something worth while to say
My god rest her soul.

Dear Gene, I dearly loved your mother. She made me laugh every day that I took care of her during my four years at Ashley Manor.  I called her my "Birthday buddy" and we laughed when we told people she was one day older than me.  I enjoyed her stories; from the time she traveled by train to California with her folks- to the farm stories she liked to tell, like how they managed to cook huge amounts of food for the men during harvest. She was so animated when she told the tale of that pesky rooster who grabbed onto her dress tail and she had to shake him loose!   I really like this picture of her.  I remember helping her get ready that day. She was truly a bright spot in this world and she will be missed by many.
