Garnet Ellen Marvin
Garnet Ellen MarvinGarnet Ellen Marvin, 69, of Marion, formerly of Richwood died Thursday morning, September 4, 2008 at her home in Seton Square.  She was born November 22, 1938 in Marion.

She was a member of the former Central United Methodist Church in Richwood.  Garnet was very talented and enjoyed working with ceramics.  The joy and love of her life was family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Moore; step-father, Harold J. Erwin; and her husband, William Marvin, whom she married on December 8, 1956, and he died February 10, 1998.

She is survived by her mother, Lillian (Reynolds) Erwin at Seton Square, Marion; three sons, Stanley Marvin, Lancaster; Russell Marvin, Marion; Kenneth Marvin and his fiancé Angie Fields, Marysville; four grandchildren, Heath, Cole, Mickey and Kaci; three brothers, George Edward (Irene) Moore, Little Falls, MN; Harold J. (Paula) Erwin, Payson, AZ; Tom (Jan) Erwin, Little Falls, MN; four sisters, Kittie (Richard) Gebaure, White Bear, MN; Rebecca (Roger) Owens, Oakhill, OH; Dusty (Dennis) O’Connell, La Crecent, MN; and Linda Moore, Oregon.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 8, 2008 at 1:30 PM in the Claibourne Cemetery with Sam Chapman officiating.

Memorial gifts may be made to Marion General Hospital Hospice, 1000 McKinley Park Drive, Marion, OH  43302.

GARNET WAS A SPECIAL FRIEND TO ALL THAT KNEW HER. YOU ARE ALL IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, JUST KNOW THAT SHE IS NO LONGER SUFFERING AND NOW IS IN  PEACE. WE WILL ALL MISS HER BUT BE GLAD TO HAVE KNOWN HER. IF I CAN DO ANYTHING TO HELP, PLEASE CALL.  TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER.

I am sorry to hear about my Half sister,Garnets passing away. I had lunch with her a couple of times but we just did not keep in contact with each other. The boys probably do"t even remember me,but George Moore does. I am Linda's sister.Frank was my father. If you would like to get in contact with me use my email or George has my cell phone number. I can't imagine what you have been through since every thing has happened in such a short time.
