Dorothy H. Isler
Dorothy H. IslerQuiltingDorothy H. Isler, 94, of Prospect died Friday, June 13, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.  She was born December 22, 1913 in Marion, Ohio to the late Fred J. and Gladis (Mapes) Lusch.

On April 4, 1937 she married Arthur Paul Isler and he died May 22, 1991.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Prospect Baptist Church since 1937, American Baptist Women Missions, and the Prospect Garden Club.  She loved her family, making pillows and quilts and baking cookies.  

She is survived by five sons and a daughter and 18 grandchildren, Fred (Reda) Isler of Prospect and their children, Steve (Katie),Tim (Shelley) Kevin (Terasa); Harold Isler of Clinton, Wisconsin and his children, Doug (Judy), Greg, Dan; Howard (MaryAnn) Isler and their children, Jeff (Shari), Jill (Ken) Campbell, Melinda (David) Carey, Mark (Brenda); Charles (Connie) Isler of Prospect and their children, Marla (Kevin) Edington, Amy (Ben) Alexander, Karen (Steve) Young, Todd; Nancy (Jim) Gaston of Prospect and their children, Michelle, Jennifer (Tom) Hypes; Jim (Kris) Isler of Prospect and their children, Matt, Ryan; 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Lawrence, Upper Sandusky; and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lusch, Waterville and Creta Lusch, Marion.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Charles.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Prospect Baptist Church with Pastor Floyd Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect.
