Lilia Mae James
Lilia Mae James Lilia Mae James, age 98, formerly of Big Island, died Saturday May 17, 2008 at 10:20 AM at the Community Healthcare Center in Marion.

She was born December 17, 1909 in Marion County to the late Hughie and Virgie (Roush) James.  She graduated from LaRue High School. At age 17 she contracted Polio and spent the rest of her life in a wheel chair. However, she liked to embroidery, read and truly was very self-sufficient.

She is survived by 4 brothers; Maurice James of Marion, Raymond (Marcella) James of Wellsville, Ohio, Herb (Anna) James of New Bloomington and John (Carol) James of Cardington,  6 sisters; Mabel Biehl of Wabash, Indiana, Marguerite Hickman and Thelma Hickman both of Meeker, Mary (Dale) Hughes of LaRue, Virgie Ane Kinsler of New Bloomington and Betty Lou (Bill) Jones of Big Island. Brother-in-law George Graham of Prospect, Special Nieces, Jeri Jones Severt and Angie Severt Sheets and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Earl and Donald James and 2 sisters; Doris Roszman and Janet Graham.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue.  Minister will be the Rev. Christopher Wiseman.  Burial in the LaRue Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday.
