he was the greatest dad anyone could have had. his smile was so beautiful, and even though i was unable to spend as much time as i possibly could with him, we always managed to call eachother just to hear eachothers voice. he had the perfect laugh, and thats what he did best...was laugh and joke. i know he is better now, with my grandparents, and i truly believe he went to heaven. when i picture him in my mind, he's wearing his favorite boots and his marlboro belt from when i was little, smiling the biggest smile. i loved him dearly & he holds the biggest place in my heart. my sympathy goes out to those who were close to him and knew him also. <3

I was so saddened to hear of Trent's unexpected passing... We were childhood best friends and we shared a lot of great times & trips together in the Boy Scouts.  I'll never forget the great times like staying over at his house on Friday nights and watching scary movies, all the fun times at George Washington Elementary, and sometimes getting into trouble together too!

Starla, I know you will miss Trent.  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.  I miss your Mom & Dad too.  I think often about all the scouting stuff with your Dad and Trent...  very good memories that I will keep the rest of my life.

i am saddened greatly to hear of trent's passing. i lived behind him as a child. he was my first puppy love. i have some old photos of him, if anyone is interested. he and i spent many hours playing "lost in space". he was all the guy parts and i was always judy. he used to have a dog named milly, and i have one now just like his, a brittany. trent was a major part of my early life. i have thought of him often over the years. how lucky you all are to have had him in your lives; just like i have been. again, i am so sorry. tell starla that your other neighbor janet dickason and i have never forgotten her and vivian.i hope they remember us. again, i am so sorry.  regan elsasser garrison

What can I say, Trent was my very best friend for 40 years. We really lived a crazy life and shared alot of fun and laughter together.Trent sure made my Mom happy when he visited with her a few days before her passing. He was very caring and loving and just a great guy. It would take a book to share all the memories I have of Trent and that long strange trip we had through life so good-by for now old friend until we meet again because you know were just passin through.

Trent was the funniest guy in school. I have known him since George Washington Elementary. He was always chatty, and good-hearted, and he reminded me of my red-headed cousin Jeff. We all had many good times in the OK Cafe throwing darts and laughing and listening to loud music. When I read the Marion Star, it was too late to come pay my respects, but I wish I could have come. He is in my thoughts and his family in my prayers. It is sad to grow away from friends. Peace to all.
Sincerely,
Julie
