Ronda J. Porschet
Ronda J. PorschetRonda J. Porschet of Essex died Thursday evening January 3, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 30, 1963 in Kenton to Marvin George and Joan (Trapp) Porschet, who both survive in Essex.

She was a 1981 graduate of North Union High School.  She owned and operated The Toddler Scene children’s clothing store in uptown Richwood for 25 years.  She was an active and dedicated member of the Rush Creek (formerly Essex) United Methodist Church serving in various capacities through the years including Sunday School Secretary, Nurturing Committee and anywhere else there was a need.  Although she was an active member of her community, she preferred to stay behind the scenes and work from within the organizations.  She was active in REAP and community walks and she loved cats.

She is survived by her parents, Marvin and Joan, Essex; a brother Doug Porschet, Essex; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8 at 1:00 PM in the Rush Creek (Essex) United Methodist Church with Pastors Michele Holloway and Jerry McQueen officiating.  Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Monday at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood.

Memorial gifts may be made to either Chapel Hill House, PO Box 499, Prospect, OH  43342 or REAP, 235 Grove Street, Richwood, OH  43344.

Dear Ones,
I know your pain that words cannot ease. I remember this line from Thomas Campbell (Poet 1777-1844) "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die." The Lord will do the rest if you allow Him.

Thanks for sharing Ronda with us - she was a real blessing.

Love, Susan
