Martha F. Bachelder
Martha F. BachelderEasternStar Martha F. Bachelder, 86, formerly of Prospect, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Wesley Manor in Louisville, KY.  She was born November 22, 1920 in West Virginia to the late Benjamin and Stella (Hoover) Halsey.  She married Dale C. Bachelder in 1939 and he died November 4, 1981.

She was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church and a member of the former Prospect Chapter of the Eastern Star.  She and her husband Dale had owned the former Dale’s Restaurant in Prospect.

She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Knisely, Crestwood, KY; 2 grandchildren, Brian (Christina) Knisely; Janice Fox and 4 great-grandchildren, Katherine, Caleb, Jacob and Kelly.  She was preceded in death by 2 sisters.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 9, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect with the Rev. David L. Hoffman officiating.  Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.  Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service.

Memorial gifts may be made to Project Faith at Prospect United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 6, Prospect, OH  43342.

Becky and family,
Our sympathy on the loss of your mother. Age is no barrier when losing your mother. We have very fond memories of her and always admired her.She was a fine lady and we know she will be missed.
