I worked with Courtney at World of Wonders. She was a beautiful young woman...one whom I will miss very much. She had a love for children that was very evident. She will forever be remembered in my heart and my memory. I pray that your family finds comfort in the many days ahead. Hold close to the many memories you created with Courtney...because it is in those memories that Courtney will live on.

Love goes on

A shooting star tumbles down,
Its flame cannot endure.
A scarlet rose withers brown
To lose its fragrant lure.
The moon illuminates the night
To vanish at the dawn.
Oh, but love, love goes on.

Fortunes fail and disappear,
Like castles in the sand.
Power spoils and causes fear,
But yields to stronger hands.
Fame lasts for a moment,
Then, in a moment, it is gone.
Oh, but love, love goes on.

Beauty fades, and passion wanes,
And faces show their years.
Death steals a lover's touch away,
But time dries up the tears.
Tunes are soon forgotten,
And singers lose their song,
But love goes on.
Oh...but love goes on.

Dear Brittany,
I cannot fathom what you are going through right now. I have a sister and mother and I have imagined over and over what it must feel like for you to lose them both. I worked with your mom. She was a unique person, very strong willed, and a great nurse. She was always there to help out if you needed it. Many times she would sit with us at night on the ob floor and talk about you and what a great mother you are. She was very proud of you Brittany. Please know how much she loved you!! I did not know Marta for very long, but I know that she spoke of you and your children with much love. She adored her grandchildren. She talked about you and your babies all the time. As a mother myself, I can understand that the loss of a child would be the worst pain to endure, sometimes too difficult to bear. Find strength in the Lord, I know you may feel betrayed and maybe even angry, but he will carry you through this. Look in your children's eyes and find strength in your love for them. My heart truely goes out to you!
Much sympathy,
Leighel Webb

I am going to write this to Courtney:

Courtney-I know your in Heaven with your mom soaring through the heavens with your wings already, smiling like you always did. I cant say or do anything to make this situation better. I can't be there and im really upset, but I hope you understand I am 1,500 miles away in Florida. My heart goes out to your family Court. I never got to say good-bye and I know these are condolences to the family, but I felt I had to write this to YOU. I know nobody got to say good-bye to you for that matter. May you rest in peace my little sunshine. I wish it didn't have to be like this. I love you Court! Always on my mind.

Larry and Family-I am praying for you guys that you find the strength through this hard time right now. I will not be able to attend, but my spirit is there with you all. May Courtney and Marta rest in peace. They are watching over you.
My love,
Abby

Courtney used to work at the daycare where my kids attend.  She was a beautiful young girl and always had a smile on her face.  My little little girl Kelsey just loved her.  They used to "poke" each other.  Courtney would share her Fun Dips and gum with Kelsey.  The world was a better place for having her in it.  She will be missed.

There are many who will write and some will see you in person, there are some who won't know what  to say, or how to communicate their thoughts to you. May we represent some of them by saying;
Peacefully, sleep comes to a dear, beloved heart.
Quietly we understand the time has come to part.
Tenderly, the love shines - a never-ending light.
Gratefully we feel its warmth and say, "Sweet dreams, good-night."

I first met Courtney through my son Bryan.  I had the pleasure of her and Josh staying at my house on  occations.  I soon noticed how she connected with kidz of all ages.  There are always a crew at my house and for some people it can be overwhelming.  But they would bombbard her until I would make them give her some air.  And she would love every minute of it.  She had a warmth around her that kidz loved.  That was her calling as well as mine.  It did not take but a minute for her and Josh to have a special place in my heart.  She could talk for hours on ideas for kidz.  She has touched so may of our lives with her loving personality, but she has left a big part of herself her on earth in our next generation.  And with this she will live on her on Earth forever in our hearts and minds.  She always hard a glow of warmth around her felt by all.  She will be dearly missed in our lives.

Our hearts ache for your loss, our tears fall for your pain.  We lived next door to Courtney and when she first moved onto this street our 12 yo daughter knocked on the door and asked Josh if Courtney could come out and play!  She laughed often, played often, and loved often.  This horrible tragedy has brought a real sense of awreness about what is important.  It's the people around us.  Reach out, hug someone, give their arm a squeeze, their hand a shake.  Take a moment and enjoy those who bring you joy, cuz tomorrow could be so very different.
