To Lelan, Genevieve and the family of Pearl,
I am sending my loving condolences.  My late
husband, Willis, and Pearl were long time
friends dating from when they worked together
with Carpenters Local 976 and Pearl helped
Willis on his self contracting.  We considered
Pearl and Lelan and David our dear friends,
exchanging Christmas cards, letters and phone
calls throughout the years.  Pearl was a wonderful man and I know he will be missed as
I miss Willis.  My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear family of Pearl,  Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss of Pearl.  I hope you are comforted knowing the sacrifices Pearl made during WW II were critical to the outcome of that War.  As a Purple Heart and Silver Star recipient, Pearl completely gave himself to his fellow soliders and to his mission.  As a direct result of his extaordinary military duty, Pearl earned the respect and gratitude of his fellow Americans.
I'd like you to know that I'd be honored to present you a bronze U.S. Flag holder to place at Pearl's final resting place at Claibourne Cemetery.  In addition, if there is anything I can do for you or answer any questions, please don't hesitate to call me.
On behalf of all Union County Veterans, please accept our sincere condolences.

Respectfully yours,
Gail DeGood-Guy, Executive Director

We were so sorry to hear about Pearl's passing. We had the privilege to help take care of David and get to know Pearl and Lelan. From the moment I met Pearl, I knew that he loved his family very much and loved the Lord in a way that is a witness to others. We thank the Lord Jesus for His loving servant and grieve with you as you miss him.
