Ruth George
Ruth Eileen George of Prospect, died Monday, December 25, 2006, at Community Health Center in Marion.  Born February 10, 1922, in Green Camp, Marion County, Ohio, where her father was a teacher, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Mattie Finley George.

She graduated from Bellville High School and was able to attend her 65th alumni reunion in 2006. She has lived in Ohio and California, most recently making her home in Prospect.  During World War II she was a clerical worker at Fairborn, Ohio and later worked at the Marion Engineers Depot, Fulfillment Corp, Marion General and Grady Memorial Hospitals.  Her most recent employment was with the Department of Forestry at Delaware, Ohio.

Her siblings, Joan Conrad and Loy George are deceased.  Three nephews and their families survive:  Randal Conrad of Castalia, Thomas George of University Heights, and Richard George of Richwood.  Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Rebecca George.  Cousins survive in and around Morrow Co, Ohio.  A cousin, Pamela Finley Rose, survives in Inglewood, CA.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 6 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect with Pastor Joseph Rhea officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service.  Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, in Leesburg Twp, Union Co, Ohio.

Memorial donations may be made to Community Healthcare Center, 175 Community Dr., Marion, Ohio 43302, or Heartland Hospice of Marion, 685 Delaware Ave, Marion, Ohio 43302.

I knew Ruth when she worked in Delaware at the Forest Service Labs. She was always a kind and gentle person that everyone liked.
