| Kelson George Southard, 82, of Richwood died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 1994, at
Memorial Hospital of Union County. He was a retired investigator for the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, was a member of the national committee of the Republican Patty and a sustaining member of the First United Methodist Church of Richwood. He was bom April 16,1912, in Union County to the late Milton J. and Edna Cox Southard. He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. He married Virginia Tilton on Nov. 6,1931, in Newport Ky., and she survives. He is also survived by four daughters, Mrs. Tom (Shirley) Ketzler of Ripley and Rebecca "Becky" Monroe, Mrs. John (Kay) Coder and Cindy Hoover, all of Richwood; a son, Robert Southard of Marysville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; andasister, Nadine Downing of Chillicothe. Funeral services willbe held at l:30 pm. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Richwood. The Rev. Wilbur R. Boyer will officiate and interment will be at York Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ballinger Funeral Home.
