Ronald Keith "Dick" Griffith
FlagRonald Keith "Dick" Griffith, 65, of Richwood died Sunday, June 5,1994, at
his residence after a short illness.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a truck driver, a race judge and
owned a starting gate. He was a member of the Ohio Harness Horseman's Association
and the United Stales Trotting Association.
He was bom June 9,1928, in Union County to the late William and Starling
C. Wurtsbaugh Griffith.
He married Mary J. Easterday on March 31,1962, and she survives. He is also
survived by two daughters, Rona (Mrs. Roy) Penix and Bonnie (Mrs. Gary)
Mills, both of Richwood; two sons, Gary Griffith of Huntington Beach, Calif.,
and Ed Ribler of Richwood; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister,
Jeanine Pirtle of Palm Meadow, Fla.; and a brother, Charles Griffith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 ajn. Thursday at the Ballinger-Peppard
Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and interment
will be at Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday.
Contributions may be made to the family.
