| Joe Frederick Bevis, 72, of Richwood died Thursday, May 19,1994, at Riverside
Methodist Hospital after a one-month illness. He was a farmer and attended Fulton Creek Friends Church. He was a 50-year member of the North Star Knights of Pythias Lodge in Essex. He was born Sept. 25,1921, in Union County to the late Fred D. and Sylvia Hoffman Bevis. He was predeceased by three brothers. He married Joie M. Borland on May 10,1942, in Greenup, Ky., and she survives. He is also survived by a brother, Jay Bevis of Prospect; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Fulton Creek Baptist Church. The Revs. Charles Fye and Robert Schmelzer will officiate and interment will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 9 p.m. at the Ballinger-Peppard Funeral Home in Richwood. Mike Kibler, Steve Leibold, Larry Anderson, Brad Plotner, Ken Bevis and Richard Clingpeel will serve as pallbearers.
