| Ruby Shirk, 84, of Magnetic Springs died Sunday, Jan. 2,1994, at Grady Memorial
Hospital after having been in failing health for several years. She was a retired teacher. She was bom April 1,1909, in Union County to the late Everett and Lula Mae Wornstaff Ledley. She married R. D. Shirk on July 18,1927, in Kentucky and he preceded her in death on Nov. 25,1993. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, a son and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Parks of Delaware and Aleeta Herr of Marion; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 4 pm. Tuesday at the Claibourne Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Ballinger-Peppard Funeral Home.
