John Norman Dix
FlagProspect resident John Norman
Dix, 77, died Monday. Oct.
3, 1994 at Marion General Hospital.
He had been seriously ill two
weeks.
The retired forklift operator
at Eaton Manufacturing in
Marion was a member of Prospect
United Methodist
Church. Prospect Lions Club,
Mill Creek Golf Club, Prospect
American Legion and Scottish
Rite Valley of Columbus. He
was past master of Prospect
Lodge #444 F&AM.
The World- War II veteran
was horn November 10. 1916
the son of Dio D. and Addie Cecile
Stockwell Dix. He married the
former Alice Lightfoot
December 7. 1940 in Independence,
Kentucky.
Surviving are his wife, two
daughters Evelyn Porter of
Hilliard and Carroll Bosse of
Columbus: a son, Stephen Dix
of Chillicothe; 6 grandchildren
and a sister Mrs. Carroll Long
of Prospect. A brother preceded
him in death.
Funeral services will be held
Thursday. Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at
Gehm-Ballinger Funeral
Home in Prospect with Rev.
Jeffrey Jewell and Rev. Monty
Kaufman officiating. Masonic
services will be held Wednesday
evening at 7 p.m. Friends may
call at the funeral home
Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. Prospect American Legion
will be in charge of graveside
rites at Prospect Cemetery.
