Mabel L. Evans

Mabel L. Evans, 93, died
Saturday, Nov. 4, 1995 following a
lengthy illness. The former
teacher at Pharisburg School,
owned and operated a rooming
house for college students near
the Ohio State University campus
for 45 years.
A native of Union County,
she was born May 3, 1902,
daughter of Fenton and Hetti
Romine. December 29, 1922,
she married Dwight E. Evans,
who preceded her in death
August 13, 1968.
Surviving are a son James F.
of near Marysville; a daughter
Dorothy Pettenski of Columbus;
nine grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren. A grandson,
a brother and a sister
preceded her in death.
Rev. Phillip A. Williams conducted
funeral services Tuesday,
Nov. 7 at Ballinger Funeral
Home, Interment was at
Hopewell Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may
be made to Tri-County Hospice.
