Roland "Duke" Ridgeway, Sr.

Richwood resident Roland
"Duke" Ridgeway, Sr., age 73,
died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 1995 at
Marion General Hospital after
failing health for six months.
He was the son of the late
Joseph T. and Mina [Wurtsbaueh)
Ridgeway, born March
24, 1922. He married Anna M.
Reese in 1946 in Richwood.
The World War II veteran in
the Army Corps of Engineers
was a retired foundry employee
at Commercial Steel.
Surviving are his wife, two
sons, Roland Duke, Jr. of
Kichwood and Rodney of Prospect;
two grandchildren and a
great-grandchild; a sister, Marjorie
Clevenger of Magnetic
Springs. Two brothers are
deceased.
Ballinger Funeral Home was
in charge of arrangements. The
funeral services were held
Saturday, Nov. 4 with Rev.
Wilbur R. Boyer officiating.
Burial was at the Claibourne
Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may
be made to the Richwood
Matinee Club.
