William Austin Shuey

formerly of Prospect, died Monday,
May 22, 1995 at H.B. Magruder
Hospital in Pt. Clinton. He was
retired vice president of Roadway
Express in Akron. The
World War II Navy veteran
was a member of Verne I
Mounts Post #368 and Prospect
American Legion. He earned his
Masters Degree in Business
from Harvard University.
The son of the late Hoy C.
and Mary Zelpha Grooms
Shuey was born February 21,
1923. October 1945, he married
the former Jean Dexter.
Surviving are his wife, two
daughters Barbara Shuey of
New Jersey and Jill Wadley of
Marietta. GA; a son Dexter of
Hartford. CT; two grandchildren
and a brother Dr. G.
Nevin Shuey of Massillon. A
brother preceded him in death.
Rev. Jeffrey Jewell conducted
funeral services at Gehm-
Ballinger Funeral Home Saturday.
May 27. Interment was at
Prospect where military rites
.w.ere . conducted by the
veterans.
