Jerry Manual Swihart
Former Richwood resident, Jerry Manual Swihart, age 57, died
Sunday, June 16, 1996 in Marion. He .had been in failing health four
years. He was the son of Lewis Virden and Thelma G. Pryor
Swihart, born on June 21, 1938.
He was employed at Whirlpool Corporation in Marion for 40
years; a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church; Kenton
Eagles; Marion Moose Lodge #889; assistant Boy Scout leader
of Troop 1109 in Richwood; past president and coach of the
Richwood Little League Association and a former police officer.
Surviving are his former wife, Shirley Newman Swihart; four
sons, Robert of Richwood, Roger of Big Island, Ricky of Middleburg
Heights and Randall of Crestline; nine grandchildren,
three step grandchildren, and one step great-grandchildren; two
brothers, James of Marion and Ronald of Waldo. He was
predeceased by his uarents. one brother and one sister.'
Funeral services will be held at Ballinger Funeral Home
with calling hours on Wednesday, June 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20 at 11 a.m. with
Revs. Robert Young and Barb Stevens officiating. Interment will
be held at the Waldo Cemetery.
