Miles A. "Archie" Cox
FlagMiles A. "Archie" Cox, 73, of near Richwood died unexpectedly Thursday,
March 7, 1996, at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
He was employed by Marion Power Shovel for 36 years. He was an Army
veteran of World War II and a member of the Richwood VFW and the Union
County Coonhunters Club.
He was bom Feb. 19,1923, in Morgan County,Ky.,to the late JamesD. and
Hattie Ross Cox. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Reese Cox, whom he married Sept 9,
1948, in Greenup, Ky.; a son, Jim Cox of Richwood; adaughter, Brenda Davis
of Oxford, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kim, Megan and Rusty; and two
brothers, Roy Cox of Richwood and James R. Cox of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ballinger Funeral
Home in Richwood. The Rev. Bryan Meadows will officiate and interment
will be at the York Center Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood Fire and Emergency
Squad Association, the Marysville EMS or the Somersville Friends Church.
