Joe H. Temple
4-HJoe H. Temple, 75 of Richwood died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1997 at Community Healthcare Center in Marion.
He was a well-known farmer and served as a 4-H club advisor for more
than 50 years. He loved working wilh and encouraging young people. He had
been a member of ihe former Marysville Toast Masters Club and he and his
w i f e put on programs from time to time for senior citizens.
In his youth. Joe turned lo Christ as his personal savior and he was a faithful
member of Union Baptist Church near, Richwood.
He was horn Feb. 12. 1922, to the late Nathan M. and Eva Florence Lane
Temple. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Fields Hall, and a half-sister,
Blanche Marsh.
He married Reva Drake Dec. 24, 1950. and she survives. He is also survived
by iwosons. Ralph (Brenda) Temple of Richwood and Roger Temple;
a daughter, Mary (Gregg) Darling of Marion; a fo.sier son, Allen (Kathy) Rausch of Richwood; four grandchildren, Angela Temple of Vance Air Force Base, Enid, OK, Theresa (Bill) Vermillion of Marysville, Rebecca Darling of Marion and Bryan Temple; three foster grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Littell of Richwood; and other close relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Union Baptist
Church, Route 739. Richwood. The Rev. Timothy Peria will officiate and
burial w i l l be al the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today
al the Ballinger Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
