John Thomas Hamilton Jr.
FlagJohn Thomas Hamilton Jr., 78, of Richwood died Friday, March 21,1997 at Dade City Hospital in Dade City, Fla., after a serious illness of 10 days.
He was a retired self-employed plumber. He was a World War II Navy veteran,
a member of Verne I. Mounts American Legion Post 368 in Prospect and
a lifetime member of Richwood Baccarat Post 870 VFW.
He was bom June 17,1918, in Union County to the late John Thomas and
Kenova Irene Dull Hamilton; She was preceded in death by three brothers,
James, Lloyd and Charles Hamilton.
He is survived his wife, Evelyn Parthemer Hamilton, whom he married
June 6,1964; three daughters, Judy (Samuel) Wyford of Indianapolis, Janet
(James) Hazlett of Elyria and Sandra (Charles) Brown of Murfreesboro,
Tenn.; two sons, Steve Hamilton and Scott Hamilton of Richwood; four stepsons,
Mitchell Ross and Ted Reynolds of Richwood, Randy Ross of Green
Camp and Tom Reynolds of Prospect; 20 grandchildren; numerous greatgrandchildren;
two brothers, Walter Hamilton of Richwood and Robert Hamilton
of Somersville; three sisters, Mary Coder of Peoria, Carrie (Bernard)
Morris of West Mansfield and Betty (Robert) Richardson of Richwood; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, funeral services will be held at a later date. The Ballinger
Funeral Home in Richwood is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
