Lucile Ethel Bumgarner
Lucile Ethel Bumgarner, 85,of Columbus, formerly of Marion, died Tuesday,
Feb. 11,1997, at Mayfair Village after having been in failing health for
four months. •
She was retired from Quaker Oats and was a member of Northwest United
Methodist Church in Columbus, OES Chapter 299 in Fort Myers Beach, Fla.,
and Marysville VFW Auxiliary 3320.
She was bom Dec. 11,1911, in Union County to the late John and Emma
Cassiday Reed. She married Raymond A. Bumgarner June 25,1930, in Covington.
Ky.,and he diedDec.31,1992. She was also preceded in death bya
son, John R. Bumgamer in 1976; a sister, Helen Kirby, and a brother, Harold
Reed.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel R. (Ann) Bumgarner of Dublin and
William B. (Susie) Bumgarner of Marysville; eight grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 ajn. Saturday at the Ballinger Funeral
Home in Richwood. The Rev. John Hickman will officiate and burial will be
at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthur G.James Cancer Hospital
and Institute at The Ohio State University. Cards will be available at the
funeral home.
