John B. "Bennie" Thomas, 85, of North Port, Fla., died Friday, Aug. 22,
1997, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
He was retired from The Whirlpool Corporation and had vacationed the last
three summers wilh his daughter in Worthinglon. He always said he was related to the "Lloyds of London".
He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Margaret Lloyd Thomas; in 1972 by his first wife of 36 years, Ola Mae Fox Thomas, the mother of his two children and in 1995 by his second wife, Alice Howser Thomas.
He is survived by a daughter, margaret (Paul) Jaynes; a son, John (Dee) Thomas, a granddaughter, Candy Jaynes and his pets, Sidney, Penny and Rags, whom he loved dearly.
The Rev. David L. Hoffman will officiate at graveside services Tuesday at
the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Gehm-
Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Associalion.
