Robert Isler
Robert Isler, 88, of Prospect died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at Americare
Rehabilitation Center in Marion.
He was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Prospect to the late Milton S. and Amy Roberts Isler. On May 28, 1939, he married Erma Rengert and she survives.
Mr. Isler, a retired farmer, served on the boards of the Prospect Farmers
Exchange and Prospect School for a number of years. He also served on the
board of directors of the Marion Producers Livestock Association. He was a
member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where he was a past board member.
He is also survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dean (Joan) Biery of Rawson,
Mrs. Max (Janet) Strine of Caledonia and Mrs. Rodney (Rita) Fairchild of
Marion; a sister, Geneva Dobberstein of Prospect; grandchildren, Mike,
Mark and Barbara Biery, Beth (Biery) White, Doug, Jim and Amy Strine and
Kevin Fairchild; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Biery and Rebekah White.
Four brothers, David, Edwin, Arthur and John Isler are deceased.
Trie funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St Paul's Lutheran Church
in Prospect with the Rev. Stephen S. Bull officiating. Burial will be at the
Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday
at the Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
