| Betty Mae Temple, 72, of Marion, formerly of Richwood, died Thursday,
Aug. 20,1998, at MedCenter Hospital in Marion after having been in failing health for several years. She was a homemaker and health care worker and attended Central United Methodist Church in Richwood. She was a member of the American Diabetes Association. She was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Alger to the late Curtis and Hazel Nichols Barker Ousley and was predeceased by a son, Carl Humphreys in 1991 and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Earl E..Temple whom she married Dec. 10, 1949, in Greenup, Ky.; two Sons, Larry Wayne (Donna) Temple and Michael David (Bethel) Temple of Richwood; eight grandchildren; 10 great-arandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three brothers, Gene Barker and Darold Barker of Kenton and Bill Barker of Newark. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Winnie E. Bateson will officiate'and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
