Ossie Nelson Boggs
John Deere 330Ossie Nelson Boggs, 75, of Magnetic Springs died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998 at the Arbors in Delaware after suffering a stroke July 20.
He retired in 1985 as a master mechanic at Miller Implement John Deere
in Delaware. He was an avid antique and junk collector. He enjoyed fishing
and telling stories and his special pets, Jack, his dog, and Mickey, his cat.
He was born May 16,1923, in Lawrence County, Ky., to the late Eccleston
and Belva Ross Boggs and was predeceased by his stepfather, W.A. Riley,
and a brother, Oliver Boggs.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janette C. Lyon Boggs of Magnetic
Springs; three daughters, Barbara J. Kuenkele of Deltona, Ha., Bethel L.
(Michael) Temple of Richwood and Bonnie R. (Jim) Pandora of Dublin;
three sons, Johnny N. (Kathy) Boggs of Columbus, William Rick (Pam)
Boggs of West Virginia and Kippy R. (Jackie) Boggs of Marysville; 11
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Watson A. Boggs of
Plain City. .
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Baptist
Church on Route 739 in Richwood. The Rev. Tim Peria will officiate, assisted
by Kip Boggs, and burial will be at Mapledell Cemetery in Magnetic
Springs. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Ballinger
Funeral Home.
Pall bearers will be his grandsons, Bill, Chad,. Ben, Matt, Johnny Jr. and
Kyle, and brothers-in-law, Bill Lyon and Stan Lyon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral
home.
