Hazel Mae Bowersmith

Hazel Mae Bowersmith, 84, of Richwood, died Friday, March 12,1999 at Memorial Hospital of Union County. She was a retired bookkeeper at the former Vernon M. Thomas Chevrolet and Mills Chevrolet. The Magnetic Springs native was born March 14, 1914, a daughter of Ottia James and Nora Belle Darling Miller. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Elkins of Gypsum and Joy Brectlinger of Myrtle Beach, SC; 10. grandchildren; 25 greatgrandchildren and a sister Joy Miller of Richwood. Funeral services were held Monday, March 15 at Ballinger Funeral Home with the Rev. James Taylor officiating. Interment was at Claibourne Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. I found myself thinking about you and Aunt Joy tonight. I have very blessed to have strong good hearted women helping raise me! Teaching my boys to shuffle cards I told them how I played all kinds of card games with you and Aunt Joy. Thank you for loving me and my mom so much! I love you!
