| John William Saxton, 82, of Prospect died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at the
home of his niece Leslie after a lengthy illness. He was retired from Quaker Oats. He was born July 31, 1917, in Mason County, W.Va., to the late William and Rosella Schneiderer Saxton and was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Loretta Saxton of Prospect; a nephew, Lester Saxton of Prospect; nieces Leslie Lanier of Marysville and Kay Good of Prospect; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Robert W. Schmelzer will officiate and burial will be a the Raymond Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p m Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Tricare Hospice, 232 N. Main St., Marysville or in care of the funeral home.
