James Russell Steele

James Russell Steele, 57, of Richwood died unexpectedly Friday, March 3, 2000, at Memorial Hospital of Union County. He was a farmer and a member of the Essex Knights of Pythias He was of the Methodist faith. He was bom Nov. 7, 1942, in Richwood to the late Clifford Donald and Martha Inez Hull Steele and was predeceased by a sister, Patty Steele. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Rush Steele whom he married Dec. 30, 1972 in Richwood; two daughters, Lynn (James) Golden of Marion and Stephanie (Patrick) Sheridan of Hilliard; a son, Scott (Kelli) Steele of LaRue; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Dianne (Gwynn) Schultz of Hilliard and Cindy (Dennis) McMahan of Richwood. - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ballinger Funeral Home. The Rev. Tom Rutan will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
