Donald Edward Boring
FlagDonald Edward Boring, 65, of Prospect died Wednesday, Jan. 23,2001, at
Marion General Hospital.
He was a retired career soldier, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member
of Verne I. Mounts American Legion Post 368, Richwood VFW and Disabled
American Veterans.
He was bom July 13, 1935, in Delaware to Virgil M. and Dorothy Yant
Boring and was predeceased by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Thora Stone Boring whom he married April 3,
1963, in Jeffersbnvflle, Ind.; his mother, Dorothy Boring of Prospect; two
sisters, Barbara Jean Farmer of Delaware and Helen Bradford of Prospect;
two brothers, Jack Maurice Boring and Jack Ray Boring of Delaware; and
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday^ at the Gehm-Ballinger
Funeral Home in Prospect. The Rev. Daniel A. Kiger will officiate and burial
will be'.'at theProspect Cemetery where the Marion County Veterans
Council will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call from 6 to
9p.m. today.
