| Mabel M. DeBolt, 84, formerly of Richwood, died Sunday, Dec. 30,2001,
at Marion General Hospital after a two-month illness. She had been employed as a cook at Claibourne Elementary School and was a well-known Union County artist and a member of the Richwood First Baptist Church, Annie Richards Circle, American Baptist Women, Carpe Diem and a charter member of the Marysville Art League. She was bom July 7, 1917, in LaRue to the late Wilbur and Bertha Lee Hicks Miller and was predeceased by two brothers. She married Earnest DeBolt May 12,1938, in LaRue and he died Dec. 19,1986. She is survived by a son, David (Nita) DeBolt of Nashville, Term.; a daughter, Dee Ann Payne of Richwood; a granddaughter, Amy Dee Jolliff; and a sister, Sue Millisor of Fort Myers, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Barb Stevens will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund. Cards will be available at the funeral home.
