Bessie N. Marvin

Bessie N. Marvin, 75, of Richwood died Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Union County. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Methodist Church and the Richwood American Legion Auxiliary. She was born June 18, 1926, in Columbus to the late Ernest and Mary Raynor Sedgwick and was predeceased by two brothers, Marvin and Kenneth Sedgwick and a sister, Louise Sedgwick. She married Robert Marvin Sr. March 27, 1946, and he died Nov. 22, 1981. She is survived by a son, Robert (Carol) Marvin of Gahanna; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Marvin; and a brother, Arthur Clifford "Ossie" (Mary) Sedgwick of Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ballinger Funeral home in Richwood. The Rev. Brian Lauzau will officiate and burial will be at the Claiboume Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Methodist Church memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
