Maria Fields, 64, of Marion, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at Marion General Hospital following a brief illness. A homemaker, Fields attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Skt. Johan, Hungary, to Johan Donnermier and Maria Bertok. They are both deceased along with a sister and daughter. She is survived by her husband Larry Fields of Marion whom she married in March of 1958. Also surviving are two daughters: Jean Marie Fields and Melody Sue (Thomas) Middleton, both of Marion; three brothers: Gustav Trafi, Michael Donnermier and Johan Bertokall of Germany; and three sisters: Helene Donnermier, Gisela Bertok and Monica Ide also of Germany. Three grandchildren also survive. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Claibourne Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 251 N.
