Henry J. "Bud" Gilliam
Flag Henry J. "Bud" Gilliam, 79, of Englewood, FL, and Richwood died Saturday, May 4, 2002, at his home in Englewood.  He was a steel worker and farmer, retiring in 1979 from Pollack Steel. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Richwood VFW and American Legion, the 30th Infantry Division Organization, the Normandie Invasion Society and the World War II Memorial Association. He was of the Baptist faith.  He was born May 31,1922, in Hunnewell, Ky., to the late Henry and Minnie Crisp Gilliam and was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.  He is survived by his wife, Doris Thomas Gilliam whom he married Nov. 22, 1946, in Greenup, Ky.; a daughter, Ruth Ellen (Gene) Jenkins of Richwood; a son, Robert Wayne (Mary Ann) Penry of Galloway; and three sisters, Gladys Stidham and Grace (Robert) Redmon of Richwood and Geneva Jones of Ashland, Ky.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood.  Robert Wayne Penry will officiate and burial will be at the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
